This position is designed to provide flexible assistance to implement simulation programming. The position will act as a coordinator orchestrating simulation details to ensure that programming runs smoothly. This may include the following activities:

• Assisting faculty or simulation educators with curriculum design;

• Assisting simulation technologist with AV or equipment utilization before, during and after programs; and

• Assisting faculty, educators and coordinator with preparing, processing of analyzing surveys and evaluations for programming.

Candidates for this position may also be interested in IT Technician, Computer Technician, Medical Technician, Audio Visual Technician, and Engineering Technician roles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.

• Experience in academic institution.

• Experience in simulation.

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty

This position will be trained and able to operate the simulation equipment including, manikins, software and playback of simulation planned courses and special programming. Position will assist with media production and AV integration activities as instructed by simulation technologist.

Description of Job Duty

Prepare all rooms, materials, facilities, food and documentation for each class including set-up and breakdown of training classes. Able to perform troubleshooting of simulation center equipment as needed, and in partnership with simulation center staff.

Description of Job Duty

Simulation Technician will assist with set-up and moulage for simulations based upon the defined curriculum and under the direction of the simulation educators. Simulation Technician will also assist simulation team on clean-up, ordering supplies and re-stocking after simulation activities.

Description of Job Duty

Physical effort, including moving or lifting heavy objects (e.g. manikins), is frequently necessary. Extended periods of standing may be necessary.
