Position Summary

Responsible for conducting and reviewing baseline medical assessments with patients participating in pharmaceutical studies. Perform recruitment, evaluation and education of patients for clinical trials; documentation per regulatory requirements; work with research team for protocol management.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in basic science or health related field. RN, LPN, Medical or Nursing Degree. Relevant experience may substitute for degree.

Preferred Qualifications

Three-five years experience conducting clinical pharmaceutical studies. Work experience in a hospital/clinic setting. Masters Degree in a healthcare or behavioral sciences related field.

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty

Review and record past personal, social and psychiatric history of patients. Review and record results of blood chemistry, hematology, urinalysis test, ECG and admitting physical exam.

Description of Job Duty

Interview patient for past medical history and obtain vital signs, weight, etc. Record standardized interviews on appropriate forms.

Collect blood and urine samples and prepare sample kits to be sent to laboratory.

Coordinate investigator and study subject schedules. Compose documents for Internal Review Board.

Attend pharmaceutical meetings both local and out of state as needed.

Be available on call weekends and evenings for physicians and pharmaceuticals for patient related problems.

Assist medical faculty in clinical trial research projects.

Perform other duties as assigned.
