Position Summary

This position will actively and independently contribute toward the development, execution, and completion of research activities. He/she will work independently to reach program goals. They will collaborate with University partners (other departments within the KU School of Medicine, Wesley Medical Center, Wichita Medical Research and Education Foundation, Wichita State University, Sedgwick County Health Department, Medical Society of Sedgwick County, Children’s Mercy, Kansas Infant Death and SIDS Network, Kansas Department of Health and Environment and other external partners) to accomplish project goals.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in public health, health-related field, education, or related field. Clinical, health-related experience.
Two years of success as a key liaison between two or more departments in an organization or between two organizations. Research methodology (quantitative and qualitative) experience including IRB review. Exceptional organizational and project management skills; ability to be self- directed, manage, organize, set and accomplish project goals.
Experience with Microsoft Office, database management software; ability to transfer data into tables, graphs and figures. Demonstrated ability to communicate well with people at all levels of an organization. Ability to establish priorities, procedures, and methods working independently. Knowledge of various publishing formats (APA, MLA).
Experience with statistical packages (e.g. SPSS) Advanced training or experience in research methods and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

Manuscript preparation and submission to professional journals.
Fluent in Spanish
Redcap experience

20% Completes Institutional Review Board forms and manages process for investigators.

30% Collect, manage, analyze, and report data related to assigned project activities.

10% Conduct comprehensive literature searches and report findings.

15% Collaborate with faculty in developing procedures that ensure the unbiased integrity of data and statistical analysis; monitor entry of clinical study date; and perform/assist with statistical data analysis.

10% Actively develops and submits research dissemination efforts and provides/manages content to prepare posters.

15% Prepare and compile reports and presentations.
Prepare manuscripts for submission to professional journals.
Responsible for authorship of professional manuscripts and written materials.
Maintain communication with project partners.
Organize, facilitate and support meetings as needed.
Collect, organize and maintain scholarship Other projects as requested by the Research Director.
