Position Summary

Research Associate position in the Kansas Cancer Registry for statewide cancer surveillance: Medicare claims data, data management and analysis.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Public Health or related field; relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis. Experience in the use of SAS, ACCESS, SQL, Microsoft products and applications.

Preferred Qualifications

At least three years’ experience in epidemiology research, including experience in grant administration. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills. Computer literacy.

Data management, data analysis, and report generation using SAS, SQL, and ACCESS.

Conduct Kansas statewide cancer surveillance, health care utilization analysis, and cluster analysis.

Assist Principal Investigator in the development and writing of grants, manuscripts and reports.
