Position Summary

Attends required training in order to administer a variety of speech, language, reading, and writing assessments to upper elementary/middle school students.

• Daily checks and confirms emails and/or texts received from lead scheduler. Reviews weekly assessment schedule as well as any updates emailed/texted regarding the assessment schedule to ensure availability.
• Administers norm-referenced and experimental measures to upper elementary/middle school students.
• Scores norm-referenced and experimental measures. Operates and troubleshoots digital video/audio recorders, I-pads, laptops, and MP3 players as required.
• Records and documents test/assessment results; completes all required forms in accordance with established protocols.
• Communicates regularly with lead scheduler and project manager for status updates and discussion regarding assessments. Interacts with parents, teachers and other school personnel during administration of assessments.
• Regularly receives and delivers completed test materials to KUMC.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to use a computer to check email and complete assigned tasks. Knowledge of Microsoft excel, word and power point programs.

Required Qualifications

One year prior work experience in an elementary/middle school environment providing age appropriate interaction with a variety of children OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved. Valid State of Missouri or Kansas Driver’s License and motor vehicle for transportation to/from testing locations; successful Fingerprint clearance card.

• Skill in interpersonal relations.
• Skill in both verbal and written communication.
• Ability to maintain appropriate, professional interactions with young children.

Probation Status

Subject to the regulations of the State of Kansas, the Board of Regents and the University of Kansas Medical Center, I understand and agree that I may be subject to a probation period and during the probation period I serve at the pleasure of the Executive Vice Chancellor of KUMC and my employment may be ended at any time during that period.

Hiring Range $14-$16 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
