Position Summary

The Department has a long history of excellence in Urogynecology, and the selected individual will be expected to continue a vibrant program leading to the creation of an interdisciplinary fellowship program in urogynecology. The Department has a fully accredited residency program with 16 residents. The School of Medicine is home to the Institute of Reproductive Health and Regenerative Medicine, and successful WRHR and BIRCWH and program grants in the area, providing extensive opportunities for translational and basic research. The position provides a competitive benefits package; rank, and starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications

Fellowship training in Urogynecology. Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Eligible for medical license.

Preferred Qualifications

Significant background with minimally invasive surgical procedures highly desirable.

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty

Perform attending consultation rounds one-half of each month, including 2 to 5 new consults per day. Conduct patient care clinics each week for 8-12 hours. Write referral letters and documentation for patients’ medical records, as appropriate. These patient-care duties may involve the attending physician only, or they may involve training medical students, residents or fellows. Generally, support the other clinical and service activities of the School.

Teach by giving one lecture each week, as assigned by the Director, to faculty, fellows, residents or students.

Provide regular attendance and presentations at student and resident teaching conferences.

Provide direction by attending resident care contacts.

Guide and assist the house staff and students in preparing talks for meetings, in writing publications, and in conducting and presenting the results from research projects. Be an example of an academic physician by conducting clinical research in the Division. Support the other scholarly activities of the School.
