Position Summary

Tenure track position at Assistant Professor/Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate courses in medical nutrition therapy and/or translational nutrition science, serve as thesis advisor to Master of Science students in dietetics and nutrition, serve as dissertation advisor to doctoral students and contribute to department research activities.

Required Qualifications

Doctorate in nutrition, exercise, or behavioral science or other appropriate field related to nutrition. Established (or potential) focused research program and extramural funding. Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Post-doctoral training; clinical nutrition knowledge and experience, established record of publication and funding, prior experience with training and supervision of personnel, business administration. Registered Dietitian.

Demonstrate evidence (or potential) of a successful program of research and extramural funding. Attain funding as a principal investigator.

Serve as thesis advisor and mentor for students enrolled in Master of Science Dietetics and Nutrition program and dissertation advisor for doctoral students enrolled in Medical Nutrition Science program.

Share scholarly work in appropriate settings. Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present research at local, state and national meetings.
