Position Summary


The Clinical Instructor in the KU School of Nursing, Salina Campus will deliver excellent education to Salina BSN students. This position reports to the Assistant Dean of the Salina Campus of KU School of Nursing and is a 9 month appointment.

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in nursing.
  • Demonstrated excellence in baccalaureate education program.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey enthusiasm for a nursing career.
  • Strong organizational, management and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds as well as with individuals at various organizational and educational levels.
  • Strong skills in collaborating with other nursing faculty in developing, implementing, and evaluating courses and the overall baccalaureate curriculum.
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology in a progressive academic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate in nursing or related field.
  • Experience in teaching and leading an academic program.
  • Understanding of concept-based baccalaureate curriculum.
  • Experience in presenting and publishing about educational innovations.

Collaboration with faculty at KU School of Medicine, Salina campus to promote interprofessional education.

Service commitment to KU School of Nursing and the School’s clinical, academic, and research partnerships.

Description of Job Duty

Develops and implements special projects as necessary.

Description of Job Duty

Occasional travel to the KU School of Nursing Kansas City campus for orientation, course and program development, implementation, and evaluation activities.

Other duties as assigned.
