Position Summary

Faculty position in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. Physician will be responsible for clinical management/oversight of the PMR physicians in the spine center as well as medical management of rehabilitation and pain needs for spine center patients, along with teaching and scholarly activity.

Required Qualifications

Board certified/board eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Preferred Qualifications

Fellowship training, Spine/Pain intervention experience.

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty

Administrative/clinical oversight of Spine Center activities. Interact with physicians and staff. Active involvement in Spine Center governance and collaboration with all physicians involved in the spine center.

Description of Job Duty

Manage Rehabilitation Medicine patients/program along with teaching and scholarly activity.

Description of Job Duty

Functional restoration and pain management in patients with musculoskeletal and/or spine rehabilitation medicine needs.

Description of Job Duty

Conduct musculoskeletal, spine and specialty clinics in location(s) as determined.

Description of Job Duty

Supervise and teach residents, fellows and medical students when assigned to clinics, the rehabilitation nursing unit, or other location as determined by the Chair.

Description of Job Duty

Lecture to Rehabilitation residents and students. Attend Grand Rounds as scheduled.

Description of Job Duty

Maintain scholarship commensurate with appropriate academic track.

Description of Job Duty

Perform interventional spine/pain procedures.

Description of Job Duty

Perform other duties as assigned by the Chair.
