Position Summary

Provides medical care for in a benign hematology clinic. Provide care for benign and malignant hematology consults. Contributes to various research, educational and clinical initiatives related to benign hematology or topics of interest. Serves in a clinician educator role with responsibility for education of residents and medical students.

Required Qualifications

Must have M.D. or D.O. degree or foreign degree equivalent; be board certified/eligible in Hematology. Must be eligible to obtain Kansas Medical License.

Preferred Qualifications

Clinical or translational research. Clinical trial development. Heavy interest in teaching and academia for benign hematology or hematologic malignancies.

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty

Will average about 6 clinics (3 days) per week. Will share on hematology consults on average 1 out of 4 weeks. Will also rotate on a malignant hematology inpatient and after hour service, on average 1 out of 5 weeks.

Attend Hematology conferences, journal clubs, etc. Present teaching lectures to residents, medical students, fellows.

Participate in clinical trials and other research as developed.
