The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Cytogeneticist with a passion for cancer cytogenetics to serve as Co-Director of the Cytogenetics Laboratory at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level (tenured or non-tenure clinical track).

The Cytogenetics Laboratory provides oncology services including conventional chromosome analysis and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) techniques for a wide variety of specimens including bone marrows, bone core biopsies, hematologic bloods, lymph nodes, fresh solid tumors and fluids. In addition, a large number of FISH assays are performed on FFPE tissues and tumors.

Required Qualifications

• MD, DO, or PhD terminal degree with ABMGG board certification or eligible for board certification in Clinical Cytogenetics

• Demonstrated strengths in cancer cytogenetics

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology or Molecular Genetics or Molecular Genetic Pathology is highly desirable
• An established record of scholarly productivity

Hiring Range Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.
